Need help on car alloys (rims)?

Im looking to buy alloy wheels for my volkswagon golf mark 4. I want bbs r.c alloys, 18" but i dont know how many nuts there are on it... The website says sonethibg like "BBS RC 4 Stud Size - 8.5x18" whats 8.5 x18??? I presume its a wheel size??? Can somebody tell me whTlat sizes i will reauquire 4 my car?? Thanks
