we need to build a circuit that will drive this motor that we have. we have a simple lab kit containing resistors, capacitors, logic gates, op amps, 555 timers, LED's, transistors, MOSFET's, BJT's, potentiometers. pretty much the basic stuff
for the lab using only a dc power source, our lab kits and the provided motor we need to make a fan that has 2 speeds and off. we need to have LED's (red, yellow and green) indicate when the motor is off, low and high. we also need to transmit the signal through an infrared LED to a phototransistor, then to the fan, there can be a step between the PT and the fan. the LED's have to be on the IR LED side and wee need to use, i would believe, the potentiometer to control the speed and use it to turn it on and off. we have tried many different ways and are looking for any suggestions and ideas that will help us. thank you.
the motor is driven by any dc voltage and as the voltage goes up so did the speed of the fan, not sure about current
