Need help on a system for a 98 Jeep Cherokee?

I Will be receiving a 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Sport soon, and would like to immediately improve the cars sound system. With no job, I would like to make this fairly cheap, but I want to get the best bang for my buck as well. I already have two speakers (no wires for them), which are Blaupunkt VX662's but I don't know if they are the correct size to place in the Cherokee. So I was wondering if someone could help me figure out some of these items I should purchase:

A Deck (head unit)
Amp
1 Subwoofer
All the necessary wiring

Also need an iPod connector for the head unit
