Need help: Moto Q and EVDO

I live in Portland, I have a Moto Q flashed to the Cricket network, I have loaded the EVDO prl onto the phone and get the EV icon most of the time, however when I go into Internet Explorer my speeRAB are 1X not EVDO. If I drop back out to Home, my icon changed from EV to 1X. Has anybody gotten EVDO to work on the Moto Q in Portland and if you have, how did you do it?
 
Thanks for the tip, but I have already tried that and still am having this issue.

I would really like to know why it keeps dropping EVDO to go back to 1X WAP, does anybody have any more ideas?
