i posted before about how i was on one mg for a while now.. and still feeling withdrawal. and it just seems to be getting worse.. also alcohol seems to play a part in whether or not i feel as bad.. if i drink alcohol one night the following day doesnt seem to be as bad with withdrawal.. but if i stop it then it seems to get worse. and ive made sure now not to drink alcohol at all and it just seems to get worse and worse.. i really feel like im in withdrawal nearly all the time. came on really early last night where i had to take it pretty early so i could feel ok again and get to sleep. i wake up this morning and just feel withdrawal.. so that allowed me to go to sleep.. and felt ok for what not even eight hours.. but enough to sleep well.. and wake up to feeling mild withdrawal shitty dont want to feel this already.. and just gets worse throughout the day.. im wondering could my body just never acclimated to the amt of suboxone i was taking because of the introduction of alcohol pretty often? whatever it is.. i cant continue this way... its crazy.. still feeling this much withdrawal years after ive been on suboxone. my doctor is of no help.. please someone is there a specialist.. or someone with a lot of good information i can talk to about this? im lost at this point. and this is interfering with my life a lot still.. i need to fix this!

I don't have enough information, meaning your complete story, but if you can google your area for addiction specialists/psychiatrists....sometimes they DO have the answers on medications, meaning how things work not only on the brain but that with the rest of our physical being.

I am SO sorry that you are suffering. My daughter is in recovery (heroin) after doing 18 mths in prison....SO SAD. It is just heartbreaking. With all that I have learned PROPER care from a GREAT doctor/and psychiatrist (who sometimes know more about meRAB) along with a strong recovery program can get you well.

I think it is a psychiatrist that can prescribe but I apologize ahead of time if I am wrong. However, this person neeRAB to be an addiction specialist in my honest opinion. My daughter is both bi-polar and has borderline personality disorder.....or so they think at this point in treatment....

You have my blessings....

thank you madison, but i have searched all over the internet and have yet to find any type of specialist.. i really could use a reference.. anybody please? but yea thanks a lot madison and i appreciate that. i wish you the best with your daughter! :) but im going to try searching specifically addiction specialist/psychiatrist and ill let you know if i find anything. thanks for your understanding.

no that wasnt much help.. i could have got what you said from an internet site or something.

I wish you the BEST String...I really do...
Please come back and let us know how you make out.
IF I should hear of anything that would be helpful, I will make sure to share with you...

Hello Stringz44,

Suboxone may cause withdrawal reactions if used regularly, for a long time, or in high doses. Withdrawal symptoms ( restlessness, watering eyes, runny nose, nausea, sweating, muscle aches) may occur if you suddenly stop the use of this particular medication.

As a preventive measure, with respect to experiencing withdrawal reactions, your doctor may reduce your dose gradually. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist for more details, and be sure to report any withdrawal reactions as soon as possible.
In order for your doctor and/or pharmacist to provide you with the best care possible, full disclosure of all drugs, whether prescription or otherwise(including herbal products) is essential before starting treatment with this product. Don't start, stop, or change any other meRAB or their doses, without your doctor's approval.

Serious side effects,or at the very least, the risk of such side effects as slow/shallow breathing, severe drowsiness and/or dizziness, may be increased if this medication is taken with other products that may also affect breathing or cause drowsiness, such as alcohol. Hope this is of some assistance.

Respectfully Phoenix.

Hello Stringz44,

My purpose was not to offend.

I was attempting to point out that withdrawals are to be expected, that you should again consult your doctor with your symptoms and that it is potentially dangerous to use alcohol in corabination with Suboxone.

If your consult results unfavorably,or if you don't want to proceed down that path again, may I suggest that you contact the AMA (American Medical Association) with respect to your concerns.

Another path to consider is the NYS Department of Health or the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Respectfully Phoenix

withdrawals are to be expected while on the medication? i dont think so. im talking about feeling this way every day while im still on the suboxone. i feel like im in withdrawal all the time. and my doctor is of no help. im losing my mind. there is no sleep ever. feel horrible.. no tolerance for anything.. ruinning all my relationships.. ruining everytihng.. and ive been on suoxone for years now.. ive always felt slight withdrawal since being on it.. it never really helped me feel the way others say it does relieving the symptoms totally.. and it just seemed to get worse over time.. theres no way i can go on like this when im feeling like ive just stopped being on heavy doses of opiates/opioiRAB and abusing when ive jsut been taking regular suboxone daily for years now and none other i need to find some kind of doctor that can help me. someone that can help me figure out why i am feeling this way regardless of being on suboxone. obviously with me for some reason its not alleviating the withdrawal symptoms and its killing me. that is what i meant.. can you please please help me find someone that can help me.. i am in miami now.. another xmas that is going to suck.. just got my tooth out and cant smoke cannabis for chance of dry socket. and that is the only thing that seems to give me any relief.. but even that is just a thing to help because it feels so bad.. i need to FIX this. PLEASE.
