I have a Yamaha keyboard and a turtlebeach midi-usb cable that is capable of transferring midi information to and from my keyboard/laptop. I know this is true because I use synthesia, and the test page allows me to play music on my keyboard and hear it on my laptop, or play music from my laptop through my keyboard's speakers. Both work great! However, since I know the connection works, I now need a program that will let me take in the midi coming from the keyboard and store it into an midi file on my laptop so that I can play the midi as a file from my laptop independent of the keyboard. If it still doesn't make sense, I want a way to have a saved midi file on my laptop that I can play using a program like synthesia that plays midi's, from my keyboard. What software could I download that allows me to store a midi from my keyboard to my laptop. Help pleeease! I need to be able to get this done today ASAP!
