need help from an ATT internet specialist?

for the past 4-5 months maybe less ive been experiencing HORRIBLE disconnections with my internet, on my 2wire modem/router. i havent been able to contact anyone on ATT lately since i decided to just now take action. at first it happened like 1-2 a month, now its about 2-3 times a day. i need an ATT specialist to help me identify my problem. my modem is fairly new got it before february of 2010. it does heat up a bit but thats normal im guessing on every modem.
