Need Help...for new BB 8100 on T mobile

Hello everyone, I hope you all can help me out with some problems....
1) i have the basic 35.99 plan with 600 texts only. What should my set up be for SMS text? (GSM, GPRS, or GPRS Preferred) i changed it and i forgot what it should be on.
2)I had tried to enter APN wap.voicestream.com and DLed OperaMini and Jive Talk. it worked well my first day. but then i cant connect to it anymore. what happened? i didnt change anything.
3)On my phone it used to say EDGE under the signal sign. now its gone, should i be worried? also it used to say Data connection refused, but now it says T-mobile.

HELP greatly needed. thank you very much.

1) Mine is set to GSM.
2) Not sure why, you may want to try a battery pull reset (take out battery with BB on then hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds before reinstalling).
3) Typically, the BB will display "data connection refused" when you don't have a data plan. Did you recently sign up for a data plan? EDGE service is really dependant on your coverage area and the carrier. If you are in the same place and you had it before, it should come back.
