hi, i am 42 and live in maryland. on 3/11/07 i had my 5th car accident, none my fault. this last one has left me unable to work. i saw an orthopaedic doctor from advice of my lawyer. he said that he sees accident victims with injuries for 6 months and after that if i was still in pain, i had to live with it. well, after the 6 months, i am still in pain. i did physical therapy for 4 months but that didn't seem to help much. the doctor gave me 5 shots in my back during 3 visits and they wore off before i left his office. i found out after he transfered my recorRAB to my family doctor that i have degenerative disc disease, arthritis, hernated discs (l4,l5,l6, and s1), c6 or c7 pushes left and c7 or c8 pushes right pinching that nerve in my neck. after getting done with therapy in july of last year, i have been having what a disability doctor said were tremors, i thought they were muscle spasms. the tremors are in both legs and both hanRAB and sometimes my legs get nurab and tingle to where i have no feeling in them. i have seen a neurologist who wanted to prescribe med for epilepsy, i did not take that and have not seen him anymore. next i saw an orthopaedic surgen who took x-rays and it looked like a spider web but he told me everything was in line and i did not need surgery. he referred me to a pain management center. i have been there 2 times and they have told me that there is nothing they can do for me. i feel i am being discriminated against because i have state medical insurance. hope there is someone out there that can offer any suggestion on what i can do. thanks.

If you have teaching hospital in your state and it has a spine clinic See if you can get your regular MD to write you a referral to a doctor at that spine clinic. they should have to take you. At the same time contact your states Medical insurance people and ask them who are you suppose to go to if no one is has to take that insurance. good luck.

When I lived in ohio I had medicade and they approved 3 surgeries for me.
If you have a lawsuit pending it could be beacuse of that.
I know at my primary Dr office when I was in an car accident they opened a new file for me and always had to tell them if I was coming in due to the accident.
You might wanna see a new Dr for a second option.
beside DDD and your arthritis would be before the car accident so they won't cover those in your lawsuit.
Good luck!

hi, i am trying to save surgery as a last resort. i have state insurance. my situation started out from a car accident with that doctor saying he would only see me for 6 months. i think he is a quack. my family doctor then got all files from him and told me to apply for disability. i got denied twice now. i have a lawyer working on that for me. my accident claim is settled since it happened in pennsylvania and they are a commonwealth state and will not reiraburse me for almost nothing, i settled. i have been to a neurologist and orthaepedic surgen and both said nothing was wrong. the surgen reffered me to a pain management center. i have been there twice and that doctor told me there was nothing they could do for me. i know that my back is messed up and it effects my neck, arms, hanRAB, fingers, and legs also. i just keep praying and hoping that i can find a doctor that is from the usa and knows how to read and speak english.
