A person who is 1.6 m tall throws a ball with a speed of 6.8 m/s at an angle of 36 degrees above the horizontal. What are the x and y components of the velocity (in m/s) of the ball the instant before it strikes the ground? The acceleration due to gravity is 10 m/s2
x-component:
y-component:

I am racking my brain on this problem. I did 6.8 x cos 36 and 6.8 x sin 36 degrees and plugged it into the pythagorean theorem and I still Icannot seem figure out the right x and y components. thanks for answering.
