I've never owned a cell phone before but now I am required to have one for work. Work will only cover the bill if its through AT&T and they won't cover things like a data plan.
I'd like to be able to use wifi spots. I thought this would be a no brainer but AT&T seems to think using your own wifi should get charged to a data plan which makes no sense to me, and I'm not getting one of those plans.
I'd also like to have GPS capabilities without a plan. This I've seen by paying like a one time fee for like a Tomtom program on certain phones, but like I said I know nothing about what phones I can do that on.
I'm not quite sure what else I would want in a phone, and it's really not the biggest deal if I go with a standard phone. I just figured if I had to get a phone I'd try to get as many features in it as I could.
There's all these unlocked phones and such but being completely new to cell phones I'm not sure what I need to look for.
So any help or recommendations people have for me I'd love to read them.
