Need Help Activating my Cricket phone please

Hi everyone,
I am a mewbie here. I ran into a problem activating a phone i just bought as a replacement for my lost phone. I have an account with cricket. I have been to the cricket shop and was told the phone I have now (Helio hero made by pantech) cannot be activated. The lady that sold me the phone and her son are using the same type of phone on cricket! I was told by cricket rep the phone i have now is active on someone else account on cricket network, I have no clue who the person is, or how to go around it. :doh:
Please help out, what should I do? all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

send me a pm with the infos and ill see what i can find. send your phone nuraber and the esn for the new phone and ill let you know.

in advance though, if the person whom the phone belonged to previusly got shut off for nonpymt or whatnot, it might take 30 days for the esn to be cleared and ready to be reactivated

If it's within 30 days of being shut off on somebody elses account, they won't turn it on. I have a friend who works in the mall as a custodian and he finRAB phones. He has given me two phones both of which i had to wait for that 30 days to expire. I guess it's to stop someone from stealing your phone and turning it right back on. I usually check to see the time/date stamp on the last text, call etc. which will give you a pretty good indicator when the phone was turned off, then wait 30 days from that date. Hope this helps

Your antena is definately smaller than mine cos you're so much phone smarter than I am. :lol: You saved me a lot of headache. He works the magic with his short antena wand, before I could say C-r-i-c-k-e-t, he got me up and running. Thanks a lot! You're great!

I will add you to my buddy list not_clutch719 in case I need any help in the future, who knows. The cricket guys arond my town here are no good, I was in different Cricket stores here and even offered to pay $45 but still none of them could figure out how to help me out. Lo and behold, help came from a distant land in 3 sentence instruction that worked like a charm. I can't thank you enough.

Lastly, I wish we have "thank you" button people can click to thank those who have been helpful to them. I implore our Admins and MoRAB to put that in mind and incorporate it into the forum. little appreciation wont hurt anyone.
