My parking space puts 1 wheel 8-15 inches above the other. the 1st time i start the car for the day, it makes a noise like the muffler's going to fall off. all starts after that are normal.
When my car is parked on a flat (normal) parking spot, it doesn't make any noise when i start it.... the way it should be.
I took it to a mechanic, everything checked out fine, although before i took it to him, I didn't know about the tilted verses flat parking thing. His parking was flat, so he didn't hear anything.
I've had this parking spot for years, never heard the noise till about a month ago.
Anyway, what do u think I should do to get my car normal again...... and pls. don't say "get a flat parking spot" Thank You Very Much. , Joe
I guess i could have a mechanic park it tilted overnight, then start it the next day and hear it for himself........ guess i'd have to find a 8-15 inch ramp for one of the front wheels...... anyway, thanks again, Joe . even when i back the car in, the same noise happens. peace

i know what is your problem. when you park on the tilted area your engine is tilted and thus your exhaust is also extended. your exhaust is only to extend a certain amount a 8-10 inch ramp is pretty big.
