Need GOOD internet phone with lots of voice use

Looking for something that will allow me to bid on ebay auctions, and use other dynamic websites. Speed is important! This will be connected to the Rogers network.

I was told a blackberry internet phone would be way too slow for what I want.

Can anyone suggest? I will also be using this as a business cell with close to 500 mins/month on it. Performanced on voice is critical. Speed and usability on internet is KEY. I can't deal with crappy rendered internet when it comes to auctions, etc.

Can anyone suggest me a good phone for (all) this?

I know you said no to Blackberry, but I think if you get the 8700r on Rogers Wireless you should be fine. 400MHz XScale CPU, plus EDGE high speed internet access.

This phone, the Nokia 6682, is the best and fastest internet phone that I have ever used. Even when tethering to my laptop, it connects at an a fantastic rate and works better the a Sony Erickson wireless card. The RF is great and the cache is very easy to clear. I have experienced NO problems. I am not as familiar with Rogers, but if it is GSM, you are good to go! Good luck!

I hear that BlackBerry is very slow on the internet though. The auctions I attend are a fast paced game, speed is of the essence. If BlackBerry would work fine, I would love to consider.

My only question is... this looks more like a cell than a PDA/blackberry/handheld. You feel it performs well online? No QUERTY, etc.
