I have a 1986 gmc sierra classic 3/4 ton with a newly rebuilt 350 with a new cam. with a th 350 transmisson(rebuilt) I want to be able to tow stuff like camping trailers, medium sized horse trailer, haul gravel/dirt, haul big logs, tow atv's, etc. I just dont think a chevy 350 is a good motor for this strenuas work. Down the road I want to put a bigger motor in my truck, a big block(nothing new and fual injected). I was wondering what would be a good motor for this kinda work. i want a motor that is powerful and fun to offroad with occational, and get the job done. I just need good advise on what motors are good for this kinda work. I like the 350 but i dont think its ment for a workin truck, muscle cars yes, but not a 3/4 ton truck. any advise would be much appriciated for this topic.
