It's my first year in junior college, and am applying for winter semester which is due to start Jan.2011...so I just filled out my FAFSA...I want to know what happens now..how long till I get the money to pay my classes...and how would I receive it...by check, or directly to the school? I also have no idea how the FAFSA works...does the money they give you have to last all year or just that semesters I'm enrolled in? What happens when I begin the spring semester...do I apply for FAFSA again or am I supposed to use the same money? what happens to the left over money am I allowed to buy my class materials with that? also does me receiving free financial aid, hurts my chances at getting student loans?...As you may see...I need lots of guidance, please help.
