brake light switch, happened to me , replaced

So when you replaced a front or rear switch it fixed the problem? And your problem was the same as mine? Brake light sticking on when either front or rear brake activated the light?

I don't know guys.....sounds like he has already been troubleshooting the switches. Only other thing is that relay, right?

Sounds to me like the only thing that the front and rear would have in common is that relay. I'd check that first.

I agree. Maybe sticking a little bit just enough to make the contacts. Could be a bad coil going also. Is that a NO or NC relay? Guess I am going to have to go look in the book. That would lead you to coil or contact problems. If it is NO and the coil is going bad it would close the contacts and the brake lights would act up. Keep us posted.

Well, the problem was NOT the relay, it WAS the rear brake light switch. Go figure. I can't wrap my head around it due to the fact that activating EITHER brake light switch would cause it to stick. In any case, all better now.
