Need Dirt Bike Info, Can You Help?

ok so i'm 13, i've just started getting interested in dirt-bikes and i want to learn all about them, plus my mum said i can't get one till i learn about them and really study them to see witch one i want, so i was wondering if you could tell me wear to start my research?
 
go for like a 2006 or 07 honda crf150 or if ur willing 2 spend a fair bit i would recomend a KTM
