Need CREATIVE ideas for a timeline project?

ok, i have to do a timeline project on the history of english (old english, middle english, modern english, etc.) for my grade 11 english class...I need some creative ideas on how I can do this,i.e. (make it as a book, make a powerpoint, etc.)Thanks!
 
Find some 'native' speakers and have their voices or their real selves show up as examples of each. Have them dressed up for their time too. Maybe just have pictures drawn with a tape recording of your voice. Take several large sheets of foamboard or posterboard. Cut them in half so they're half as tall. Or, use whole sheets for more surface area. Punch holes on each edge to bind them together with O-rings (the ones for notecard/flashcards) to make the sheets a big accordion-style book. This will help the whole thing stand up at angles, nice and somewhat visible from a distance (depending on how large you make the graphics/text). Decorate.If you have computer printouts of the info you wish to present, tea-stain them so they look like old scrolls for the old and middle english. Maybe add on a powerpoint slideshow for greater visibility during the presentation.Over the top? You could also make the sheets smaller.Whatever you end up doing, best of luck to you!
