need controls for yamaha outboard ?

somewhere on my yamaha 2 stroke 50 hp is a plug with 10 pins. what is meant to connect to this ?
what do I need ?
also I cant find any leads for the battery, do they attach to this somehow ?
 
There is a harness that plugs into it and goes to the control box the battery cables go to the starter solenoid and ground.
