Can some please tell me the method for calculating mass concentration so i can work out the answer to the question: -

Find the mass concentration in g dm-3 for 0.042 moles of HNO3 dissolved in 250cm3 of a solution.

find the mass first

mole x molar mass = 0.042 x (1 + 14 + 16(3) )
= 0.042 x 63
= 2.646 g

the just divide with the volume in dm3

250cm3 = 0.25dm3

= 2.646 / 0.25
= 10.584 g/dm3
