Need career advice, thinking of quitting my law degree but don't know what else to do?

Hey, I'm in my first year of a law degree, I've worked consistently very hard but I have gotten to the end of the year and I am really struggling to cope with the amount of work and I don't think I'm going to do particularly well in my exams. The problem is i am very bad at exam technique, I'm still unsure how to tackle a strong exam in Law despite having asked numerous faculty members for advice on this issue.
Due to the stress of the work load and the fact i'm not doing particularly well i'm not enjoying the experience at all.
I don't think i'm intelligent enough to do well in a law degree without putting in so much effort that i have to sacrifice every other aspect of my life, however i think I would find a secretarial job not challenging enough so i'm really confused as to what career to pursue.
Ideally I would like to go straight into work, into a career that i would finding challenging and could work my way up in. I'm more of a practical person than an academic so i think i suit and would enjoy work life alot more than university which i am not enjoying one bit.
Any career advice as to what alternate careers i could pursue, whether i should give up on my degree and any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
