need car audio specialist advice for my taurus?

this is my 1st car..it is a 1996 ford taurus...it has no sound at all..so if you can tell me how to replace the radio with a cd player and what speakers i need to put in there..and do i need a amp.?what is a amp??and should i replace the battery to add all of this?remember this weak ass radio is the circled 1...i want really good and loud sound too
 
You should be able to get a wiring harness and dash kit to install a Cd player. As for the door speakers you can replace them if you want. And depending on if you put subwoofers in or not, and how much power you use you may or may not have to upgrade your electrical... just depends on how big your gonna make your system.
