Well i'm new2 this so not2sure what 2do so i'll start by telling my problem and maybe sum1can help me threw this..i'm 28yrs old i have 3 beautiful daughters which is y i despately want2stay off them 4good.also lost my bestfriend 'my mom' 3yrs ago to the same thing she was only44yrs old way2young every1 loved here dearly and i don't want2 end up dead so soon like her.after she died i went off the deep end cuz my sister had dcf take my daughters and i haven't had them since that is when it mostly turned bad.i was getting perscribed loratab and xanax for 10yrs then when that happened i started getting roxycodone30mg 6times aday and xanax2mg 2times aday,soma350mg 2times aday and now methadone10mg 3aday.i've tried many times2quit coldturkey cuz don't have insurance nor family support i'm on my own w.this and it's2hard..ill go threw withdrawls up to 7days then cant take anymore and turn back i recently was hospitalized for10days for o.d.ing and found out all my organs r shutting down liver,pancreas,stomach and kidneys im way2young2go now i've got3girls who need me and i need them i wouldn't ever go back if i had them back home but 2get2that part i've got2get over them 4good so if any1 has advise4me i would deeply appreciate all of them.thank u and sorry so long wanted2share my story.

I was on Xanax for 8 years, and I'm extremely knowledgeable with oxycodone products. (just to let you know I understand the withdrawls from both) Methadone I'm not as familiar with. The only time I had taken methadone was to get off oxy, and it was for only a short period while in detox.

Let's rewind a bit. Are the roxy's and xanax still prescribed? If so, are they prescribed for a legitimate reason? (Do you have real pain and real anxiety, or just recreational use?)

What's a typical day for you? How many mg's of roxy/oxy do you take?

What about Xanax?

Let me know how many milligrams of each, why you take them, and then I can respond more accurately. I'm assuming you want to quit everything you take?

You have chronictxtfortxtownlynotemail itis. That means you, like I, probably send at least 1000 texts a day and have a difficult time taking that out of your emails. LOL.

Ok, if I read it correctly, you are only on methadone 10mg 3x daily. If this is correct, you are in a good spot. It is a dosage that you CAN and should taper off of. It is methadone and regardless of what anyone says....its the mother of evils to come off of.

Taper slowly.... literally 1mg a week and you wont miss a beat.

In my most hurabliest of opinions, I wish I tapered off oxys rather than doing methadone. I KICKED every drug in my life exxcept methadone. I can stay on it for life if necessary and at 38, I think I have a chance of not staying on it but I'm content either way.

You can do it.You just have to want it. And by that not a half hearted "yeah, i do kinda want it" you really gotta want to quit. And if you have even a shadow of a doubt, you never will.
