Need advise to Update IOS 5 on iPhone2G

Can anyone advise me wether I can update IOS 5 on my iPhone2G (8GB)

Honestly... I don't even know if the original iPhone will support iOS 5.0.1. Good quesiton though... one of our iOS gurus will more than likely chime in w/ a productive response.

No unfortunately you can not install IOS5 on 2G iPhone, I know this for fact as I used own one, the last OS that supported that phone was OS3.

Nope u can't.the hardware Is not supported.ram is too low In it
