Need Advise on what phone to get

Hi there people. New to the forum and I have been reading on new phones that are coming out but knowing that it will cost a lot.

Can someone give me some feedback on some phones?

I would like to get a phone with a nice big LCD screen for IM, Web Browsing, and the online things. I don't really care much of the mp3 players since I own an Ipod. Anyways, it must be pretty stylish and has good reception. I still have the interest on the black razr but I also like the PDA phones too.

Look at two PDA:

P990a or the Treo 700w. I want the GSM sim card one though. anyone knows where to get one? I'm hoping to spend around 200-250.

How is the SE w810. there are some features I like on it and has a nice big screen. this phone seem pretty similar to the S710 that i like but I don't own one though. please give me feedback.
 
your tastes and your budget do not go hand in hand. The ONLY way you might get a Treo for under $300 is through a contract extension.

You will be hard pressed to find a big screened PDA for under $300. To give you an example. The Sony p910i (the predecessor to the p990a you like) is over a year old and STILL goes on EBAY for around $400.

Something has got to give, the features or the budget.

Just want to know whether any of the you have use unbranded phones before? Is it better in quality and features. I currently have a V3 silver and it is unbranded and the quality of the phone is not that great. the button of the phone feels softer then the Brand phone. response during navigating thru menus are slow and my email, IM, and picture messaging do not work. The reason why I bring this up is that should I bother to get another unbranded phone again? please advise and give me some feedback. thanks
 
In my experience whether or not a phone is unbranded should not matter in terms of the hardware. It is the software that makes the difference (the carrier branded ones tend to be loaded with their customization, which may or may not be a good thing). Things like slower navigation can be caused by using a branded one, or by an older 'generic' firmware.

As to your other questions, the SE 810w is not out yet. And if you dont want to spend more than $300 you are going to have a hard time finding an unlocked/unbranded PDA phone (if you go with a contract you can do that).
