Need advice on tires for 2003 Toyota Corolla?

I need at least 1 new tire for my Toyota-the passenger front tire is at 2/32ths. I've read elsewhere that it's advisable to replace 2 tires at a time. Here's the situation with my car-the other front tire is around 6/32, and the two back tires are 9/32. I was thinking of replacing the front two, but am not 100% sure if I should get rid of the front driver side tire, or try to keep it instead of a spare (but I have no idea if it will fit in the space where my donut is now).

So I have some questions, since I've been looking at stats of different tires, and am thoroughly confused (it goes without saying I am not much of a car guy!) 1) How do you interpret the treadwear grade-I understand it has something to do with the life of the tire somehow.
2) What is the difference between 'performance all season', 'performance touring all season', and 'ultra-high performance all season'? (or are these just marketing buzzwords?) I want some kind of all-season tire, and am curious which would be the best bet for someone who mostly does city/highway driving, but in a month or so will do a cross-country move in my car.
