Movie night I reckon tonight if I can find a couple of films worth watching. I watch tons of shizz and love most genres.

Last movie I watched was Don't You Forget About Me , a docu on John Hughes.

Maybe something quirky. I like what I call 'talkies' like character driven films where you follow a character(s)through some part of their life.

I quite liked Flakes, Little Miss Sunshine, Sunshine Cleaning, that type of thing.

I've seen tons of horror but its really tough finding good ones these days. Last one I saw was the Nightmare on Elmstreet remake which I thought was dire.

Greenberg is very quirky and strange... and very good.

I Love You Phillip Morris is pretty good.

The Boat That Rocked is great.

The Informant! is pretty good.

For quirky, character driven films, you can't go wrong with the Coen Brothers. Or maybe Napoleon Dynamite. Or perhaps In Bruges.

What's that recent film about a corrupt Southern US Sheriff set in the 1950's ?

Much controversy about a scene where the director lingers as he punches a woman to death.

I can't recall it's name.

Black Death is quite good .

sort of a cross between Witchfinder General and The Wicker Man . great cast and it goes in a direction you don't expect , also deals with some issues like misogyny in a smart way .

Julie & Julia is lovely, something very quaint about it, I wasn't expecting much at all, but was pleasantly surprised.
The Good girl with Jennifer Anniston is actually pretty good, and she acts really well in it, probably her best part I would think.
Far from Heaven is wonderful too, great story and acting.
