Need A New Cricket Phone

I've been with Cricket over a year now and LOVE the services but have had bad experiences with two phones.

I am in need of a new(er) phone that works on Cricket and open to unlocked phones. Allow me to mention I'm open to unlocked as long as I can use Travel time. Which should I consider?

My first phone was a Kyocera SE47 Slider that I actually enjoyed until it failed to the point of no return. I visited a Cricket store at that time and got a used Motorola phone that I hate dearly due to serious charging problems and getting hot.

The one thing I do not understand is why I cannot charge any Cricket phone while speaking on the phone??? This is terribly annoying and I wonder if this is how all CDMA phones are?

I've seen some Cricket unlocked Nokia Verizon phones that I'm interested in but do not know their success rate.

What are suggestions for a new Cricket network phone no more than $125.00 with a great success rate, over 3 hours of talk time, can be charged while talking and has longevity?

what area r u in? i have an audiovox 8910 which does charge while your on it. it works quite well i just got tired of it. if u live in the buffalo area, i will just give it to u. data cable, faceplates and car charger included.
 
hey cherub. im in the buffalo area and would be interested in purchasing this phone off you. or i have a dorado i would be willing to trade. its practically brand new. i used it for two weeks before gettin a new phone. i have a slider remix right now but the earpiece is broken and i have no insurance. and i would like to go back to a more basic phone. let me know about the phone viz PM. thank you.

I'm at the point of desparation now to get a new Cricket phone, as the used Motorola model the Cricket store gave me last year when my Slider went bad is unable to charge unless I wrap some serious tape around the connector & phone to hold it.

Simple - Kyoceras are not the only models that will not charge while talking on it. This Motorola I'm using now is designed the same way, which is nuts!

Is there any way to get Cricket to give an existing customer a discount on a new phone? That would be me of course.

Cricket will give you a discount when you buy a new phone, best bet is to head to the store and ask :)

and I think if you have a ear piece you can charge the phone and talk on it... (try that)
 
Cricket will give a discount without starting new service? I wasn't aware, I'll pay the store a visit then to ask.

Also, I'll try the earpiece tip too. :)
