A chemical engineer begins an experiment growing bacteria in a laboratory. He starts with a mass of 400 grams of bacteria at 11am on Tuesday.
Every day the bacteria grows by 9.5%.
a) Calculate how many days it takes for the mass of bacteria to treble.
b) On the same day you calculated in, give the exact time at which the bacteria is expected to treble stating your degree of accuracy.
