need a company with no credit check

Im only 17 and looking for something like cingular's gophone service that i can sign up for with a debit card. I just can't justify paying 30 dollars for 200 minutes, no nights and weekends, no internet and no frills basically. my main concern is free nights and weekends and some kind of unlimited internet access for around 40 dollars a month. No 2 year contract would be nice as well.

Since you're 17, you can only get prepaid service, you can't legally sign a cell phone contract until you're 18, and even then you may not get approved for one.

Back when I graduated high school, a buddy and me tried to get him Cingular, and they wanted a $400 down payment because he didn't have a credit card or a car loan or anything of that sorts.

Here's the thing.

You're asking for a lot, but want to pay little. It doesn't work that way. If you want "frills" you're going to pay for frills. You're also not going to get Free Nights and Weekends without a contract and a plan. I think GoPhone is the only provider that offers this still, but I don't think they have anything for internet.

T-mobile To Go can give you internet via the Sidekick. It's unlimited internet, email, and texting for $1 a day OR the ability to call up to the amount you load, or a mixture of both, within whatever prepaid amount you put on. However, you don't get free nights and weekends, and the Sidekick is $400

The only way you're going to get what you want is via a contract and a service plan. Even then you're looking to pay AT LEAST $40 a month.

I have the Sidekick 3 and it also has Unlimited IMing with Yahoo, MSN, and AIM on prepaid....have a look @ the phone on sidekick.com....what area are you in? Cuz, if you're in a MetrpPCS coverage area they offer Unlimited Nationwide, Txting, Pix, Web for $45/month have a look : metropcs.com that's who I have for calling.

AlltelU might actually be an option for the op. If he is in an Alltel area. They have a pay-per-day plan where you can get unlimited nights and weekends along with either unlimited texting, unlimited calls to your favorite #, or unlimited M2M. But I don't think they have an internet option either. The required usage charge is 75 cents a day so you might be able to check that out.

Verizon has a new "Easy Pay" plan or something like that. It's like $50 (including taxes) and has 350 minutes and unlimited "IN" and N/W minutes.
While the $/Min ratio might not be the best, it's easily offset if you know lots of ppl with Verizon.
Best part, unlike most prepay plans, you can choose ANY VZW phone.
Not sure about anything else, as since I'm on contract, I haven't done research out of VZ plans, etc...

The EasyPay plan was changed to include 3000 nights and weekends instead of unlimited; VZ's InPulse has unlimited nights only.

Depending where the OP loves, Cricket, MetroPCS , or AlltelU may be options.

Also Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile have monthly plans that include unlimited nights and weekends.

Im in an alltel and metropcs area, im looking at metro its 63 dollars a month with all aplicable taxes, i might be able to do that i like the nokia 6265i but im going to save up 2 months bills and enough for a phone before actually getting it, it also gives me time to be 100 percent sure its the best choice. Alltell doesnt seem as nice a deal i guess.

I am very confused. You first state that you're looking for something around $40. Then you say you can do Metro for $63/month. Surely you can find somebody else for cheaper. Are you sure you're calculating up the prices right or do you plan on using it a lot during peak-time? There are options with free texting and free N&W on Alltel prepaid. How long will it be until you're 18 and can go post-paid? I might be wrong but I don't think Metro should even be that expensive.

You've got to be in Tampa because that's the only place I know of that Alltel and Metro overlap but there might be a few others?? Before you decide also take a good look at the coverage maps. Metro, from what I understand, only provides coverage to a select few locations in the country and I'm not sure about how well they cover their area but I wouldn't jump off the deep end with them unless you know they will cover your area or they might have a free trial. I have heard they often have discount prices for their plans but the coverage isn't all that good in all their locations. However, if you will remain in Metro areas most of the time, they are a great deal. Carriers like Alltel, Verizon, Sprint, Cingular, etc. provide more of a network with coverage anywhere you go in the US and cover their areas significantly better.

At Metro, $30 plus tax gets you unlimited local calling only and no add-ons like Caller ID, insurance, etc. $45 includes unlimited domestic calling, VM, Caller ID, unlimited PIX/TXT messages... I do have to agree that $63 is on the high side.

You know you could go with the new Amp'd mobile hybrid plans same thing as a contract without the contract. You just need an acount they can automatically take out of every month then the phone prices are only $99 after mail in rebate.(don't quote me on the price check get.ampd.com) For $50 you can get 1000 min. and if you wanted to add the "frills" if any company has them it's amp'd.

EDIT: plus you are on Verizon service for cheaper than verizon which is nationwide coverage

The Amp'd plans you are talking about require an 18 month contract and credit check and the phones seem high. Their prepaid plans only offer 500 mins for $50 but they don't mention free N&W and each text is another 10 cents. Both of these are free and unlimited on the Alltel prepay-per-day plans for 75 cents/day. For the OPs usage I don't think Amp'd would be a good idea.

edit: Now I think I see what you were talking about with the Hybrid plan. It is a much better deal but I'm not sure if the op would like the idea of not having unlimited N&W and still 10 cents/txt. I also don't like the idea that any unused minutes are lost every month like a regular plan and has overages for going over. I'd rather pay 15 cents/minute just for what I use. But at least the ops got all the options pretty much.

I seemed to overlook the NO in "no frills" lol well i thought you were looking for frills that is why i said Amp'd. Yeah that alltel plan seems alright for you. I was just saying a company that would be more nationwide might be better.

Yes I am near tampa so my area is covered, the thing was that I was not sure how much money I was going to be able to spare each month from my new job but, it turns out I'll be able to spare much more than 40 dollars, especially for a deal like metro. The only reason I said 63 dollars is because with insurance and the 45 dollar plan people have told me all kinds of thinks after the fees, Ive heard anywhere from 50-63 after taxes.
