Neck & shoulders sore, headaches, chills

I have been dealing with these symptoms off and on for 6 weeks and I have no idea what's wrong. I'll feel bad for a few days then it will go away for a few. I have a lot of seasonal allergies and take Singulair everyday - sudafed and claritin don't seem to be making a difference. I got poison ivy 4 days before these symptoms started but that has been gone for 3+ weeks. In the beginning, I thought I had a cold because I was sneezing, had itchy eyes, etc. but that went away in a few days. I have never felt like this! It doesn't bother me when I sleep.

Back of neck pain - no problem turning head in any direction
Shoulder soreness
All over muscle aches
Heachache (back of head)
Heavy head (back of head)
Minor tingling in front of face & jaw
Chills

It's pretty much the neck soreness - the others occur occassionally. I have NO other symptoms like fever, congestion, sneezing, dry eyes or anything like that

I saw a chiropractor yesterday and he said my neck muscles are very stiff - I am going to him for adjustments to see if it helps. Any ideas?

Some of your symptoms could be from the Singulair. Headaches and flu like symptoms are listed as side effects. It could also be tension/anxiety causing some of the shoulder and neck soreness. I wish you well :)

Oh my- I have never had any side effects from Singulair except bad headaches the first 2 weeks I took it last year. You may be onto something - thank you SO much for your reply! Here I try to control my allergies and end up feeling worse.

I deal with a lot of your same issues, but sence im only 20 doctors dont like to prescribe the medications i need i had a pain specialist who did Dr. Jim Harvanko hes a good doctor but he lost his license. So now im looking for a doctor i was takin Fiorinol with codene #3 and Soma 350mg and Vicodin but the clinic i was at lost my records so life is a pain. Anyway i wanted to say that fiorinol and soma are very good for neck pain and headaches fiorinol is butalbitol asprin caffene and codeine for pain and soma or carisopridol is very good for muscle spasms but doctors do not like to prescribe it but i have found it works the best.
