Neck Bruising Question

Hello
I was at hockey practice earlier today and (just my luck) I got hit with a 65ish MPH slapshot on my neck. Obviously there is bruising and swelling at the spot and it is only getting worse. Do I have anything to worry about as far as swelling blocking blood flow? Or anything else? I know I may seem paranoid, but I would still like to know.

how are you doing today? getting hit with a puck in your neck area, depending upon the exact location, could pose some levels of medical problems. like i said, location of the hit would really dictate possible underlying injuries. but just considering the overall speed and the forces involved with a hit like that to the neck area, it wouldn't hurt to at least see your primary doc and also obtain a c spine series x ray done on the neck too. it can cause some level of like a whiplash injury? it all depends on just where that puck actually hit you. please let me know how things are goin right now.
