Has anyone else experienced this .I could not believe what happened to me last week,I catch train every day from station in west yorkshire city ,and for the 7th day in a row it was late. so I decided to put in a complaint to the station staff. I must stress in know way was I rude, raise my voice or swear, I just made my point that I thought it was unacceptable. next thing i know ,2 coppers had me in the police office saying I was being verbally abusive to staff, and I either admit it and get fixed fine of £80 or go to court ! It seems in this day and age we just have to accept shoddy service or if we complain we risk getting arrested.Or are we just not aloud to complain anymore ?

so what are you going to do? i hope you dont pay because that is playing into their thieving hands. go to court. write to the papers. kick up hell but dont give in to them

I know all about this.. Same thing happens here in USA.. I will never complain to the cops face again. You have to understand your dealing with rogue idiots... The best way to complain is to write a letter or email to their superiors.

Complaints are always better dealt with if put in writing and addressed to a senior member of staff within the organisation. You will hardly ever get any satisfaction if you make a verbal complaint because it is your word against someone else's.

None of us were there, but it could be one of two options:

1. It is an offence to cause alarm or distress to another person,so in their eyes you were being aggressive, threatening and causing them to fear for their safety and causing them upset by your words/manner.

2. They lied and were pissed off by your complaint,or were to carried away with their own importance.

If there was cctv there (which is likely, and you genuinely did nothing wrong, go to court where cctv will be produced.

What did you go for?

You took your anger out on someone who has absolutely no control over the trains and now want to make out you were just making a comment about the train being late. It would be like picking on the Queen as her image is on stamps because your mail is late.
You write in to complain.
