Why did God allow diseases like cancer into the world, I'm just wondering.

I've always been a big Christian and supported God throughout my whole life and I just really wanted to know this.

I've had a horrible day today with a personal matter including this disease and I really feel like sht and hating my life
It was my Aunt and she was a HUGE and I mean HUGE Christian. I'm portuguese and live in fall river ( a portuguese city in MA), and my whole family is very catholic except on my dad's side who is protestant

Im Christian, but God controls all this and some people have a tough life.

Hopefully there is a cure for cancer soon, cause it is a horrible disease, but people pass away, and I know how you feel, but you just have to move on.
 
god gives man choices

he gave adam and eve a choice to be perfect, but they sinned, thus all mankind inherited sin. so diseases and conditions like that are evident because admam and eve gave us all sin which makes everything imperfect

but following god will result in us gaining our perfection back when this system of things comes to an end

It's like your parents saying don't drive drunk, and you saying no and getting in an accident. Plus God allows some things to happen to see how great your faith is. The book of Job and The book of James
 
It's all because of what happened in the garden. We live in a sinful world now because of it. Don't forget God is always there and will always listen to you. I'm sorry for your loss.
 
I'm really sorry for you. Was your grandmother a Christian?

I just want you to know that God does everything he does for a reason. If you're "hating your life" maybe you should go see your nearest pastor?


I don't think many people understand the importance of having Christ, and being saved.

EDIT: Well if she was a HUGE Christian, I would be happy for her, because she is most DEFINITELY in a better place right now.
