NBA Live 09 Dynasty Mode Question?

So, i want to trade for sasha vujajic and jason maxiell. but no matter what i do they wont accept a trade for them. if i change the dynasty mode settings so i can modify CPU rosters then change it back will i still not be able to gain dynasty points or will i just not get points for that individual trade? helppp, haha this is for xbox if that helps
