Navy Boot Camp? How do you get there?

I know that you have to go to your nearest MEPS station and fly out from that city, but what kind of flight is it? Is it just a regular flight (boeing 757) with civilians or is it a military flight? Also i heard that you are usually served a meal on the flight to save time. Is this true?

As said earlier, commercial flight. If I recall correctly, US flights don't give free meals, just international. The MEPS station you check out of with your tickets should give you travel vouchers or some kind of paying for your meals during the flight.

When I came in five years ago we had little sort of traveller's checks. It was for a certain amount depending on the meal, but they give you enough for breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on where/how long your itinerary is. Whatever you don't use they just keep, so I put as much items on my tab to make it to the maximum amount as I could and pigged out.

If it's like the Air Force, it's a regular commercial flight. If the airline serves a meal, you will get a meal, but don't count on it.
