I am a 16y/o highschool student. I am looking into joining one of the above government service groups. I would like something in an office or on the ground, I do not want to be in combat. Whay kind of jobs would i be able to get doing this sort of work? which group would be best for me? how can i get involved early? are there summer programs or anything like that? btw i am a junior in highschool and a female.

Well in the army they have split ops, which allows you to go through basic training the summer between junior and senior. and the 25 series of mos's are artistic and fun jobs. Photograph 25V graphic design 25M talk to a recruiter to help you decide what you want to do.

This is a VERY broad question, but I'll try and give you the most info.

If you value hard work and back breaking discipline, the Marines are for you. Hardest to join, but the most proud.

If you like money, a broad number of career options, and quick promotions, the Army is for you.

If you like an easy day at work and nothing really exciting to ever happen, the Air Force is for you.

The Navy isn't for you. If you don't like combat or being off the ground, I suggest completely ignoring the Navy.

Air Force, That would be the best one. If you can get a job where youre a mechanic for the aircraft its guarunteed that you won't fight and if you deploy you will be on the best bases for deployed soldiers. Meaning internet in your airconditioned room and xbox and tv if thats what youre into

Find out where your local recruiting station is located, and go to each branch in the building and TALK TO THE RECRUITERS. They are the ones that will answer your questions with the most accuracy.

Marine Corps :)

you could do an admin/paralegal MOS, that's what my husband does now. He doesn't like it, but then again, he doesn't like sitting in an office. There are many females that work with him.

government service groups? Those are Military armed forces. You WILL be trained in combat in all of them and have the potential to be sent into combat in all of them. The best group for you may be something more along the lines of the peace corps or americorps or some other non-military related volunteer group.
