Nationwide Financial Group?

I logged on to see if anyone had had a similar experience with Nationwide Financial Group based out of Florida and someone had written in about a month ago relating their own experience. I was given the same pitch by Nationwide but the representative wanted my money ($1200) upfront. I said "I never give out money over the phone before seeing anything in writing". It surprised me that any reputable financial institution would ask for money upfront before sending any documents for my review. The representative seemed taken aback by my insistence, which to me is just common sense after we hear all the time about fraud and scams. They did send me documents but the documents were vastly different from what I had been told over the phone. They offered me a detailed financial analysis and wanted all my tax records and bank records. They would offer to contact my lender on my behalf but for an additional charge. I don't know but I would prefer to take that $1200 and pay down the principle on my house this year with it and yield a nice 6.5% return on my investment.
