On Wednesday 8pm ITV you have the newly created National Movies AwarRAB. Like the TV AwarRAB these things are quite meaningless and just something to fill the schedules with, but even so let's have some prediction shall we?

Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga:New Moon)
Emma Thompson (Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang)
Emma Watson (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)
Sam Worthington (Avatar/Clash of the Titans)

In way they work the Nominees out is a bit odd. In the action/thriller section they are all films from last year except Kick-Ass that is in the cionemas during voting time. Surely they should all be from last year?
When you look at each of the catagories you get similar strange choices that make no sense.
The TV show only lasts an hour including breaks so that explanes why so catergories and why the actor contains male and female.

My predictions:

Action/Thriller: Sherlock Holmes
Family: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Fantasy: Avatar (only Twilight might swipe it from them)
Most Anticipated: Twilight: Eclipse. (I can't see Toy Story punching it past all the Twilight/Pattinson fans)
Breakthrough Movie: Harry Brown. (Caine pulls it out the bag for them)
Best Performance: Robert Pattinson

This is last one harder to call but his fanbase may push him to the win, There is a chance that the Harry Potter fans may push Daniel Radliffe to success. I think there is a shout for RDJ as Sherlock Holmes. But thinking about the peple taht bother to vote, the Pattinson lot could be the most likely majority.

I know I've bolded/italiced more than one canditate for some awarRAB, but I'd say it a close call between them (Best Fantasy in particular)

I'm not bothered, it's voted for by the public... so I'll be watching them for some fun light entertainment.

I doubt it, but I'd love to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo win its section of nominations. But as it's mainstream public, I don't think so.

I voted:
Action: Inglorious BasterRAB
Family: Alvin & The Chipmunks II : The Squeekuel
Fantasy: The Twilights Saga: New Moon
Anticipated: Sex and the City 2
Breakthrough: Harry Brown
Performance: Robert Downey Jnr

What I think will win:
Action: Inglorious BasterRAB/Sherlock Holmes
Family: Up
Fantasy: Avatar
Anticipated: Toy Story 3
Breakthrough: Harry Brown/Paranormal Activity
Performance: Leonardo DiCaprio/Robert Pattinson

Really looking forward to these awarRAB, I have got tickets for the ceremony on Wednesday.

Can someone answer why The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was not in the nominations for this award during the programme tonight, when the others were? I remember voting for it in this catagory...

Twilight getting Best Fantasy and Robert Pattinson getting Best Performance of the year just proves how much of a joke these movie awarRAB are. Clearly the twi-harRAB were out in force during voting.

Seriously, Robert Pattinson's performance in Twilight got an award?!? I'm still laughing, lol. All he does is gurn and mumble his lines...

I'm a big twilight and robert pattinson fan, but even i have to admit, robert didn't deserve the award, there were definetely more deserving candidates.

Still love him though :D
