Nascar 08 problem?

I was racing a full race at Las Vegas (267 laps), I was ahead by 15.00 seconds and everybody from 4th back was at least 1 lap down. I also had the black flags shut off, so why did it end my race and make me finish 36th

The reason is because the game sucks.
