Naruto Shippuden Season/Arc 3 Talkback (spoilers)

Technically it's more like 95 since the anime is around Chapter 370 while the manga's at 465 but there shouldn't be any filler for awhile. Especially if they know when to do expansive two part eps like they do here that only uses segments of the manga and adRAB to it.

Yeah the whole standoff thing was kind of...meh. But the actual fight with 4 tails had some moments.

My belief is Shippuuden, when it airs in the US, will be fine. They have good VAs and I'm sure Viz will work around some problem areas.

about 100 chapters from the end of the Hidan/Kakuzu fight, so........100 chapters

the Heir of the Hyuga clan (last time checked anyway) doing mere housework in the future (i guess), like hell, stupid fillers........

Why they're editing out Shikamaru smoking is beyond me. Seriously, Hidan defeated with a lighter -_-

Also this new Three-Tailed story... a cannon-filler? Does such a thing exist?

... hm? Oh yes, I've decided to come back :P

its like, six battles ahead, 7 if you count a certain incident as a fight (i don't). I put it in terms of battles cause its the best thing i can think of, besides the obvious "its around 100 chapters ahead", so yeah, its about 100 chapters ahead starting from the end of the battle against Hidan and Kakuzu.

So I just saw the two part Jiraya past episode and I have to say that was really well done! I actually liked it more than Kakashi Gaiden.

Seeing Jiraya go from a child to a young adult was very interesting, yet it was a bit strange how he got to the place were the toaRAB stay at, all you have to do is summon while not being on a contract and poof..

And I find Jiraya staying and teaching Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato to be interesting, I'm guessing...
Jiraya got it half wrong about the three being dead, it seems like only Yahiko died and Konan and Nagato are part of the akatsuki due to the similar looks in the preview

And finally I can see that Tsunade actually had a thing for Jiraya, I actually felt somewhat bad for her when she asked "...When are you going to settle down?" but destiny comes before love, it's funny how Jiraya works. The ending to the episode was really nice to, seeing Jiraya's very first book which as the title goes "Tales of the Gusty ninja!" which is where Minato got Naruto's name from. And I was surprised by the look of Naruto's mom, she was very beautiful, I feel bad for Naruto that he lost such amazing parents.

10/10 for sure, anything Jiraya seems to keep me interested.

Oh and best line in the episode for sure.

Tsunade: "Why would I date you? I'd rather date Orochimaru."

It's all in the adaptation. Think about how well done the Hidan and Kakuzu arc was. There was so much additional character development written in, and it just added depth to the original existing work. Don't write the series off yet.

I like to remind myself it's just a cartoon, so as not to have my health worsened by the stress.

That being said, where is Kakashi Gaiden? Don't tell me we're going to have to wait until his fight with Pain?

There's definitely more than two episodes left to this filler, but it's amazing. This arc blows all of the other Naruto filler arcs out of the water--they're not even in its league.

So this week, we find out that Asuma's the one that killed Kazuma during the battle between the 12 Ninja Guardians. Asuma's getting kind of parental on Sora, trying to become like a father figure to that boy. Probably because he feels guilty for what he did. Unfortunately, the white haired man reveals this to Sora, which will definitely have him turn on Asuma.

But I definitely think Kazuma wasn't really killed--the writers are setting it up so that the man with the white hair and scarred face is probably Kazuma. Also, we get a flasrabroadack to one of Sora's outbreaks ten years ago. I really hope that he's a Jinchuuriki, although we won't know until later. The preview shows him fighting against Naruto next episode.

iMustang, I wouldn't say that this filler means nothing. If anything, it's got great character development that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Maybe the previous Naruto fillers turned you off, but the staff writing these is brilliant. Also, the animation quality isn't too bad either. You should at least check it out for yourself on a rainy day. Don't judge it because it's filler--it's a great story arc.

I actually thought it was better, since the characters demonstrated that they can have normal conversations instead of waiting 10-20 seconRAB before responding to each other.

Pain's first appearance should actually probably occur next episode or so. At least, that's where the image of him in the opening is derived from. But we've got a while until team snake shows up or is even formed--we probably will not see it until we reach the next opening.

Man Kushina was hot, its too bad we haven't seen more of her before. I'd like to know more about her story with Minato.

Here's the other thing:

We never really know what happens to Kushina. I mean we are told Naruto is an orphan so we assume she is dead, but we never really see what happens to her. However, Naruto never asks about his mother when he meets his "father."

It's better than watching Hinata MAKE CHOCOLATES.

OK, I get that animation is a lonely profession, but what the heck? HINATA MAKES CHOCOLATES. Can someone name a manga adaptation with worse filler? Anyone? DBZ didn't, they had some garbage but they also had ROFL worthy stuff like the driving test episode.
