Considering the filler arcs are running and it's not affected Naruto's standing as a staple on Saturday nights, I don't see Shippuuden suffering from these arcs.

Yes it's still filler. The next two episodes are one hour long. We'll see if it enRAB there but it might end in three. Certainly I expect by...July we'll return to cannon.

Maybe it just didn't do anything for me, but I think that the new opening kind of sucks. At least, I don't like it as much as I enjoyed Blue Bird or Distance or Heroes Come Back.

It's about time. But now the manga is so far ahead, I don't even see the point in watching.

well, the fillers actualy move quicky from filler to filler, in Shippuden the plot moves so slowly that you could probably change the channel for a few minutes (or for a half hour until the next episode comes on) and then come back to find that nothing has realy happened.

lets not forget the infamus naruto 4 tailed transformation hour special

I've skipped a bunch of episodes, but some of it I watched and like what I saw. Now I've sat down with 86 and 87 and even though the animation dwindles at the second half, the Kakashi and Kakuzu battle feels like a One Piece fight. It must be the dragonball-like music and the way tree trunks explode into nothing.

I find it funny how Kakashi's clone gets hit and he doesn't have a gaping hole in him like the trees did.

I also love how Shikamaru just mind-screws Hidan the whole time. 40-minute pwnage.

Yeah, pretty much.

Although we still don't know if Madara's voice will change when he reveals himself to Sasuke (doubtful it will). I suppose we'll have to wait for some flasrabroadack Madara to tell if there's a difference, although that would hardly negate the possibility of Danz
