Naruto Shippuden Season/Arc 3 Talkback (spoilers)

Well I had kinda got backlogged on Naruto as the Sora arc went on and with the manga storyline picking back up I wanted to get caught up so I watched like 11 or 12 episodes over the past few days to finish it off.

I thought the filler arc was actually pretty decent. It expanded a bit on Asuma's backstory to try and fit in with what is revealed in the manga. He gets a bit more screen-time in it. Honestly up until the last episode or two where it had the twist
Kazuma being alive and that guy
I was really digging it. I thought the zorabie stuff was silly, but I'd give the arc a B or B- overall. It turned out to be watchable which is what I can not say for most of the filler pre Shippuden.

Anyway back to what's going on right now I can definitely see the 'ship flames being fanned. When you have possible
a couple in Kurenai and Asuma and seeing them interact and Kurenai look like she's thinking about him
and then cut to showing Naruto/Sakura interaction or Sakura thinking about Naruto and what she can do to help him... Definitely plays up the Naruto/Sakura stuff. Of course then you mix in Naruto holding Sakura's notes and saying Sasuke's name and then Sakura thinking about him looking at the picture and you remeraber this is Naruto and the real love triangle is Naruto->SasukeSakura

Have I mentioned how amazing Naruto Shippuuden has been these days? Episode 85 was unbelievable--I can't even begin to describe how great it was. The fight between Hidan and Kakuzu is just so much more intense than it was in the manga already. The animation was again, best in the show. I love it.

I say give it a chance. We're getting some character development here that otherwise would be missed. Plus, the writing is a lot better than the first series' filler episodes. I know most people generally hate filler just because it's not part of the main storyline, but this one isn't so bad. The villains are interesting, and I'm intrigued about what's going on with Sora.

The dynamic between him and Naruto is interesting too. But I can't imagine Sora still alive at the end of this arc.

Okay, I get it. Thanks for clearing that up. No need to get snippy about it. I'm kinda casually new to Naruto. I've only watched the anime through everything that was shown on CN and now the Hulu broadcasts so I'm not familiar with everything in the manga. Sorry to get you all riled up over a noobish question.

I personally prefer this filler to the horrible adaptation of the manga arcs in this series. If the pacing improves once this arc is over, it'll be the best of both worlRAB.

Shippuden is dragging for me, I was hoping this story arc would evolve into some awesome action with Naruto's trainer leaving and whatnot but all we have seen has been those annoying toaRAB and it's getting tiresome. I may be dropping Shippuden for the time being

But I will rewatch it when/if it comes to the U.S and I can enjoy it from the beginning, but these toaRAB are too much and the series is at an unfortunate stanRABtill.

What does Naruto do first thing after waking up? Why he downs some milk thats been left unrefrigerated and open over night.

You would really think Naruto would be more weary around milk at this point.

Asuma told Kakashi that the other villages were preparing for possible Akatsuki attacks, which makes me hopeful that the filler will deal with the broader world of Naruto.
