Naruto Shippuden Season/Arc 3 Talkback (spoilers)

Finally, a reason to watch this series. I was getting ready to declare this the worst comic book adaptation since WildC.A.T.S. (obscure enough yet?) and they give us a panel-by-panel animation of Gaiden.

Phew.

according to upcoming episode titles, filler should end with episode 71 and the "new duo" appears in episode 72 entitled "A Creeping Threat"

Ep 72 is scheduled to air Aug 21

Right now pacing is the key issue I think we all have Cloud. As it stanRAB, if the filler can add to the richness for us, without a) contradicting existing material and/or b) wasting our time such as a pointless fight, then we'll be better for it.

Oh no! Susake gets almost complete focus for about 100 chapters starting here. And considering the anime goes at a snails pace this may very well take even longer than a year.

Yeah, or if they're like me, the just don't care & are just going to quit until it starts being cannon.

If they pop up, just let me know & I'll tune in. Otherwise I'll just wait until you guys say the filler is over to start watching again :P

Well I finally saw the Kakashi special and I have to say that was the best Naruto I've seen in a long time. Kakashi's past was amazingly sad and the way he lost his best friend was just shocking I mean..
crushed by a giant rock?
I really I did not see that type of death coming. This special is even sadder with that promise Kakashi made to Obito since...
Kakashi promised to protect Rin yet she is nowhere to be seen in the future and Kakashi claimed that all of his good frienRAB are dead which means he failed sometime before the series starts.
I also liked the explaning of Kakashi's father, really shows how much Kakashi had to go through before he became the awesome character he is now.

10/10 That was awesome. Gotta love the Fourth Hokage as well, it's about time we saw the guy in action.

I think the last thing I will say in this is...why can't all Naruto be like this?

Probably because not much happens per chapter...

...or they just extend the fights so they ca nbreeze through the plot-based scenes.

I'm pretty intrigued with the ark. It looks like Guren is going to be the medium to seal the Three Tails into Yuukimaru, which may give him the look he was designed in on chapter 421.

Also, it's been confirmed that Kakashi Gaiden will be adapted into the anime this summer.

Honestly, when you get past the agonizing journey it's been, the series sort of is. Kishimoto sets up a past series of events that begin to tie in with Naruto's generation and essentially makes what Naruto has to do to succeed with Kakashi, the Fourth, Jiraiya, etc. all failed to do. If Kishimoto didn't suck as pacing I'd say readers wouldn't be as blind as they are to the more intricate plotting he's done.

I suppose when you read all the volumes in Viz's second Naruto Nation all together one's eyes are opened.

You guys, how's the latest manga chapters naruto? I haven't quite caught up yet to the whole series. But i've seen the latest movie though, it was quite good.

If you'd like to find out more about the chapters in the manga, go to the manga thread HERE

As for the Shippuden movie, it was pretty decent as you stated.

Bigdeath,

Apparently if the OP is accurate we will get a short filler between the end of the Sasuke/Sai Arc and the opening of the Hidan/Kakazu arc. That's at least what some of us are reading into it.

Cloud,

Some people don't always read the whole thread. Skimming is a natural inclination, especially when waiting around for episodes to air.
