Because American adults don't like what an entire Japanese generation grew up on? These sort of shows rarely work off of concrete real world sciences.
 
I'm probably not the only one to say this but I would love to see a sasuke filler telling what it was like growing up in the sound village or one with his falcon/hibe group

I too felt that and as fan of Samurai Champloo, I'm glad they used that effect there.

Honestly I wish this arc was over. I'm dying for Hidan and Kakazu here. In any case if this isn't over before the end of July, I'll be slightly miffed but at least by then they might animate the arcs after Hidan and Kakazu appearance slightly more interesting.
 
well, so much for my hopes that they would show Kisame catching the 4 tails guy in some kind of filler, i really wanted to see those badass elemental fusions (like lava powers) he was supposed to have, but whatever.
 
That is beyond lame: Really the Naruto anime team obviously wants to keep as far ahead from the manga as they can right? Then why can't they recongnize things people WANT to see as fillers and actually draw them? Really it's so stupid. It's like they're going out of they're way not to do the Tailed Beast battles for like no reason. I'm sure Kishimoto would be happy to give the anime team some ideas on how he'd like the characters to be haneled and they could make a few episodes divulging into they're fight without alienating anyone. Why don't they do it? Stupid.

I did find a very funny bit at the ending omake though where in the recording studio (I guess in some omake verses the characters actually voice themselves in the studio) everyone points out that Hinata has only been saying Naruto-Kun in every episode she's in latley thus she risks the danger of having her line looped to save money on paying her. Which is pretty funny

Though I doubt you could do that "that" scene with her just usnig Naruto's name. You could almost do it but it still wouldn't feel right

Though while they're at it how about they mention how little development most merabers of the Konoha 11 get? I really want an omake now where Ten-Ten's upset over the fact she never does anything and complains about being treated as just a third wheel and everyone asks "you're not a third wheel?" which ticks her off more so.
 
-Considering that OP showed nothing of canon material, I don't think the fillers are ending any time soon. Maybe not, but I doubt it.

-This is the same singer of Blue Bird right? I didn't really like this one compared to that. It seemed too...slow or something.

-Whoa, Tenten's doing something in this OP again. I love how Tenten gets all this screentime in the fillers when in the long run, it means absolutely nothing.

It is understandable and I to felt as you did before seeing the fillers and understanding their place. Now I'm less against it, but I do see your point about having fillers in a show that's already lagged in places.
 
I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing if I'm enjoying this arc more than the whole run of Shippuden so far.

I think the pacing and the action sequences are dead on unlike the stare-athon in the previous arcs. I was so disappointed in the dreadful pacing up until now but it's moving fast now imho and I'm loving it.

I'm disappointed to see that we're getting fillers. Even if the filler characters are being added to a canon arc (the prospect of which makes me extremely wary), I hate the looks of the Naruto filler characters... Eh, I'll wait and see but I will say I'm worried at this point. Shippuuden has been failing to live up to its expectations for the most part already, why something else to add to the list?
