Naruto Shippuden not to air on TV in the States?

I enjoy watching the Subbed Shippuudens but my kiRAB watch it as well and I have to be very careful because Naruto Shippuuden is far far more mature than Naruto. Beheadings, Fborabs, reanimated corpses...deaths..but man if they end up bringing Shippuuden over here..it will be the new DBZ

It's really the only explanation that makes any sense. You still haven't given me a good reason why Cartoon Network is giving a highly rated show like Naruto the shaft.

Oh, I don't believe that Adult Swim hates anime, I just believe they're completely incompetent. It seems clear to me that Cartoon Network does indeed hate anime, however.

What doesn't make sense about it? Almost all networks prefer airing their own shows as opposed to imports from other countries. Hell, I would say at least 90% of television networks in the U.S. hate anime.

What do you mean it makes no sense? Did you ignore all of those examples I gave you? Television executives are people. They each have their own likes and dislikes and personal preferences. What is so hard about this for you to understand? Naruto gets good ratings, yet they treat it like crap. What other possible explanation is there for their treatment of it?

Eh, ONLY thing I watch on Cartoon Network these days is Transformers Animated, and I haven't even watched THAT since the season 2 finale, although I'll have to start watching again when Season 3 starts up. But I NEVER watch anime on there. I did catch some Naruto filler, but that was just because I had my TV on while playing a game on my laptop, and that's where I happened to turn the TV.

Naruto got 4s and Secret Saturdays is getting celebrated for getting a 2.2.

There is one bit of hope left: that Warner, who now owns a stake in Naruto, gives CN the network equilvalent of Chinese water torture to run it. But I won't hold my breath . . . though then again Looney Tunes will be running all day on New Year's.

You have any idea how many normal people irrationally hate anime (just like some people irrationally hate Western animation)? You put executives with a hidden irrational hate for anime in charge of a network, if the network airs anime, the anime's going to be minimized, dropped, or otherwise gone ASAP. Even Sketch, one of the sanest, most well-informed "normal" merabers of the board, has gotten reports from his sources that people high up at CN simply hate anime.

lol , if they are going to air all the fillers that had NOTHING to do with the actual plot. they will likely air Shippuden. but this is only if they licensed it to air it.

so many people got use to CN airing Naruto twice in a row, that they figure one episode airing is CN "hating anime"

That was like, the worst Toonami video ever. It was so boring. I always hated those Toonami music videos. They always gave Sailor Moon the shaft.

So you can't afford what would amount to $25-50 every few months? Buy them at your leisure. Life's tough, spend the money your earn on what you really want and then refrain from complaining when the consequences aren't exactly the most pleasent because you chose you path, no other did for you.

You win, Master Moron. I should have known better than to get involved here.

But explain to me something before I go. Fosters Home For Imaginary FrienRAB and Ed, Edd and Eddy were popular shows that got good ratings and haven't officially ended their runs. So why aren't they airing on CN right now? I guess the network hates it too. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Or could it just be because shows like these and Naruto are simply part of the "old Cartoon Network" ad the current regime would just prefer to sweep the shows under the rug (like 'em or not) and concentrate on their newest programming like Brave and the Bold, TDI, Chowder, Flapjack, Clone Wars and Secret Saturday. Maybe they'd just prefer to air American shows. That's possible too. But "hate" is such a strong word.

And considering CN is on the verge of an upswing I doubt the network is as incompetent as you claim it is.

But whatever. You win.

If the show executives liked Foster and EEE one bit they would keep the shows around at some slot on the network, like they do with Courage and Lazlo. Now why do those two shows air on CN and Foster's and EEE don't?

As much as I hate agreeing with MM he is right first on those music videos sucking and that we should not get our hopes up. Chances are they will put off naruto again, and again.

I do want it to have a perminate spot just like like MM here I don't want to doom other shows regardless of my personal feelings for them. For if I let my personal feelings get the better of me I would be praising the horrid treatment of Naruto. No I realize Naruto has a not of fans and i want it treated better for that reason, not for my personal reasons.

Probably because so few things are set in stone.

I'm not saying that I think CN will show Shippuden, because I seriously doubt it, but it's just that they do have a tendency to leave people hanging without a real answer.

I mean look, they're just showing the rest of the Naruto episodes at their own whim right now with no real plan in place. I would imagine Viz is pretty frustrated with them right now, just like Toei is.

I know exactly what I'm saying. Anime makes me happy. People irritate me. Anime is horror, comedy, action, adventure. It's always what you want. People are selfish, always thinking of themselves. All that I need is my BD player, my DVRAB, my Blu-rays, and my manga. I value what makes me happy. Nothing wrong with that. And I respect it. And I respect the creators.
