Hey guys, just looking for some advice.
I've been using Virgin Mobile for the last 10 months or so (Audiovox 8615; first cellphone) and I'm getting fed up with the phone/service (dropped calls, no dial tone; partial connections; crappy, featureless phone)
I live in Ottawa, Ontario so my choices for providers are Bell, Rogers, Telus and Fido. I'm currently going to Algonquin College and I've learned that Bell has a special deal for AC students (I know every carrier has student deals but this seems to be the best for me)
$20
200 anytime minutes
Unlimited nights/weekends @ 8pm
Voicemail
Caller ID
Mini Browser (max 100kb)
Any body know anything about this plan (drawbacks, problems, something I'm not seeing)?
As for the phone I think I'll get one of the new Samsungs the have: a640/a900/a920. I'm not a heavy music listener so I could live with the non-mp3 A640, but it would be nice to have something to listen to on those long bus rides. I'm really concerned about the quality of the phone; construction, longevity, battery-life. I want something that'll last me at least a year or two with a minimum of hassle (yes I know everyone wants that).
One last thing I'm probably going to buy it from the Telephone Booth in the Rideau Centre, any advantage/disadvantage to using thme compared to the actual Bell store?
Any advice/personal experiences would be aprreciated.
