Narration Game

Let me put it another way... I haven't heard of most of the films used so far and the ones I have I wouldn't in a million years remember a random line from the narratiion.

Plus I don't understand what happens when they all run out. Can anyone post one at random for others to guess? How does that work?

I just find this whole concept a bit confusing...

It's a free country so anyone can play. I just ran out of narrations. If you didn't get any of them that clearly proves you have a life.

I my defence, I didn't just choose random bits of narration, they are the opening lines and usually at the start of the film. The films I chose are, for the most part, very well-known, e.g. Superman, Dune, Blade Runner, although I did put a couple of obscure ones in just to get people thinking.

I only used those movies I own copies of so that I could check and ensure I was quoting correctly.
It's a bit harder than just identifying random quotes but people seemed to enjoy it.

I certainly enjoyed the previous threaRAB on identifying tag lines or theme tunes but I'm cursed with a good memory for this kind of thing and judging by the responses I'm not the only one.

Add some faves of your own if you like, the more the merrier I reckon.

In the meantime I'll try and think of something a bit more challenging. :)

Ok Bex, get ready, here's a couple I just remembered:

1: "Last night I dreamed a deadly dream, beyond the Isles of Skye . . . "

2: "There are those who believe that life here began out there, with tribes of humans . . . "

It's frightening what you think about on the 73 bus to Seven Sisters.

Is no. 1 The man who never was ?

and the end of the quote is ( just out of interest )

I saw a dead man win a fight
And I think the man was I

Both correct!. Well done. Difficult to believe now that BG and its sequels were both originally released in cinemas here, long before they appeared on tv. And in Sensurround too. :)

Here's one I forgot about:

"Well, you crossed beyond the Brazos, fought Commanches, rain and sand. You brought your cattle westward but is this your promised land?"
:)
