Nanny McPhee & the big bang, Out Friday.

In this one her warts, etc. have all grown back, so is that how it is everytime she takes over new children? She starts from the beginning again?

I think so. The idea seems to be that she starts off ugly as the children are ugly (bad or naughty) and as the film progresses the warts and bad teeth disappear as the kiRAB change and become beautiful (good) so it's a kind of measure how the kiRAB are.

I'm 45 so I have you beaten. :p

I saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. I found it up to the standard of the first one and just as charming.
No doubt on the IMDB forums it will get called worst film ever made etc because the idea of a family film is a concept above many adults and teenagers that use that site.

The story isn't complicated which is a bonus to the film. I thought the acting by pretty much everyone was good with the exception of Katy Brand who is useless and miscast.

Maggie Gyllenhaal was wonderful as the mother. She came across as funny but also very loving. Maggie Smith got quite a few good laughs especially sitting on the "cushion."
However the acting honours and almost film stealing performance came from Eros Valhos as Cyril. Right from the off you dislike him and give him a slap.
I think the film could have been 5-10 minutes longer quite comfortably and used to build Cyril and his sister, Celia's character and the reason they were like they are.
Emma was good as Nanny McPhee but considering she is the title character she wasn't central to it for long perioRAB of time unlike Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins.

I also liked the Pink Floyd joke although I'm sure it will go over the head of the majority of the people seeing the film as they are so young. A lot of the adults may not even get it come to think of it.

A really enjoyable film that I'm sure I'll enjoy watching over and over again. 8/10

I have to say the title of this film sounRAB more like something you'd find hidden in a cardboard box under the counter of your local DVD rental shop.

Gave me a giggle. :p

I'm sure I don't know what you mean. :p

It's actually a very misleading title as it's not untegeral to the plot. It's almost as if they made the film and wondered what to call it and come up with that as they couldn't think of a title.

haha i saw it today too, alot better than I expected. I took my sister to see it and she was almost on the floor crying with laughter.

I echo the comments about Maggie Gyllenhaal and Maggie Smith, both played their parts well especially Maggie Smith; wish she was in it more. I kinda like Katy Brand in it? and I hate her tv programme.

After seeing Emma Thompson talk about it on Jonathan Ross it's not surprising that it's turned out quite good. She was so determined to make it match and better the first one. This one's an all-new story created by Emma, where the first one was based off the books (she is called 'Nurse Matilda' in the books).
